  • NSDR is a unique blend of meditation, hypnosis, and Yoga Nidra. It's a powerful technique designed to help you tap into a state of deep restfulness while maintaining full awareness. This combination allows you to navigate your mind and emotions more effectively, leading to transformative outcomes. These states allow you to create new neurological connections.

  • While it is true that it would be extremely easy to 'fake' a hypnotic reaction, there are also actual observable and measurable results. Studies that monitor brain activity have shown Hypnosis, and hypnotic suggestions modify the way the brain processes information (particularly regarding the Default Mode Network). In randomized controlled clinical studies, Hypnosis is an effective pain therapy and mental health therapy.

  • Hypnotic states occur in everyone in daily life: heightened emotional states, deeply relaxed states, and even some states in between. So, yes, everyone can be hypnotized. Researchers can measure hypnotic suggestibility and classify susceptibility as either high, medium, or low. 80% of people are susceptible, with 10% highly susceptible and 10% less susceptible. If you are less susceptible, other techniques can achieve the same effect.

  • Hypnosis itself is not dangerous. You cannot get "stuck" in a hypnotic state or trance. The concern is that it is possible that Hypnosis can result in confabulation: the tendency to confuse fantasy as fact. While there is still a need for rigorous study on the matter, it is imperative that you trust your practitioner. I promise all of my clients that I have the utmost respect and take my responsibility as a hypnotist very seriously. I stay far away from any practices that would cause any undesired results.

  • No, you cannot be forced to do anything you do not want to do in a session.

    In Hypnosis, you maintain control over your capacity to act on suggestions, albeit if you allow yourself to act on a suggestion, the results may appear or feel as if they occur on their own.

While it isn't meant to replace professional therapy, it can enhance its effects by providing you with additional tools to work with your mind and emotions. Many clients find that integrating NSDR with their therapy amplifies their progress and deepens their healing journey. It should be acknowledged I am not a therapist.
